Tavsif

  • Serve as the company’s engineering expert on firing processes.
  • Lead global efforts to advance firing-process expertise.
  • Apply knowledge of firing systems, including installation and commissioning, construction materials, suppliers, services, controls, troubleshooting, and safety.
  • Transfer new developments and firing processes from R&D into manufacturing.
  • Improve yields and the efficiency of existing capital equipment.
  • Resolve complex problems involving firing processes and related equipment.
  • Work with firing-equipment manufacturers from setting specifications through manufacturing implementation.
  • Advise project teams as an internal technical consultant.
  • Develop or improve manufacturing processes to meet customer needs.
  • Transfer technologies to meet production requirements.
  • Manage projects and train and guide plant engineering and manufacturing teams.
  • Work with manufacturing leaders, maintenance and repair services, and cross-functional engineering teams.
  • Advance environmental sustainability initiatives, support regulatory compliance, and implement cleaner manufacturing solutions.
  • Develop business plans for global process engineering initiatives and projects.
  • Follow firing-industry developments through publications and conferences, and share emerging trends and methods.
  • Prepare detailed analyses for executive review and communicate with stakeholders at all levels.
  • Maintain high safety standards in line with local consensus standards.

Talablar

  • Bachelor’s degree in mechanical, chemical, ceramic, or a related engineering discipline.
  • At least five years of engineering experience, preferably in process engineering, and experience with thermal processing of materials.
  • Experience with high-temperature ceramic firing.
  • Experience performing mass and heat balance calculations.
  • Knowledge of refractory materials and refractory insulation systems.
  • Knowledge of ceramic material properties and material analysis methods.
  • Experience commissioning equipment for large capital projects.
  • Broad technical experience, including mechanical, electrical, and materials engineering.
  • Skill applying Lean, TOC, Six Sigma, or other TQM process improvement methods in manufacturing.
  • Experience in an automated engineering environment.
  • Knowledge of MS Outlook, Teams, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, SolidWorks, AutoCAD, Autodesk Inventor, and Mastercam.
  • Availability to travel regularly 20–35%, and occasionally up to 50%, domestically and internationally.
  • Ability to work with people from a range of cultures and backgrounds.
  • Lean Six Sigma Green Belt certification is a plus.
  • Project Management certification is a plus.
  • Vacuum furnace experience is a plus.
  • Experience with air pollution control and mitigation systems is a plus.
