Tavsif

  • Engineer and maintain Python-based reliability tooling and SRE utilities across AWS environments
  • Create Python scripts, APIs, and utilities that automate recurring work and strengthen platform reliability
  • Deploy observability and monitoring with Grafana and AWS CloudWatch
  • Develop and refine Terraform infrastructure code for AWS resources and SRE capabilities
  • Build CI/CD workflows and automated test coverage
  • Establish SRE standards, practices, guidance, and measures including SLIs and SLOs
  • Use version control, peer review, test-driven development, and thorough documentation
  • Support incident response activities and participate in an on-call schedule
  • Assist users of SRE tools and diagnose issues affecting production systems
  • Work with partner teams to prevent repeat incidents through early detection and pattern analysis
  • Track developments in AWS, SRE practice, and cloud-native engineering
  • Partner with cross-functional groups operating in Agile and Scaled Agile environments
  • Write blameless postmortems that capture failure scenarios and assign actionable follow-up work

Talablar

  • U.S. citizenship and the ability to obtain and maintain the required Public Trust clearance
  • A bachelor’s degree with 8 years of experience, or a high school diploma or equivalent with 12 years of experience
  • At least 5 years of advanced Python development building enterprise-grade, highly available AWS tools, APIs, and utilities
  • At least 7 years of software development focused on reliability and platform engineering
  • At least 3 years of hands-on solution development in AWS environments
  • Deep knowledge of AWS services including EC2, VPC, S3, Lambda, IAM, CloudFormation, EventBridge, and Step Functions
  • Experience optimizing AWS resource costs
  • At least 3 years applying SRE practices such as observability, toil automation, SLIs/SLOs, and reliability engineering
  • Expertise in Terraform infrastructure as code, including module development and state management
  • Strong background with CI/CD pipelines, automated testing frameworks, and DevOps practices
  • Experience using Grafana, AWS CloudWatch, and AWS Canary
  • Experience defining, implementing, and managing SLOs, SLIs, and error budgets
  • Familiarity with root-cause analysis and postmortem reporting
  • Professional experience in Agile and Scaled Agile environments
  • Familiarity with IT service management, resilience testing, and chaos engineering
