Senior Accountant - MoneyGram (Remote, United States)
Support GAAP-compliant accounting close, reconciliations, financial reporting, and audit preparation at MoneyGram. Improve finance operations through automation, process refinement, and collaboration across teams.
Tavsif
- Report to the Accounting Manager
- Collaborate with business units to collect data, validate accrual assumptions, and record expenses accurately and on schedule
- Complete detailed account reconciliations and variance analyses while reviewing documentation to protect general ledger accuracy and integrity
- Support month-end and quarter-end close activities, meeting deadlines and helping ensure accurate financial statements
- Partner with FP&A to reconcile actual results with forecasts and budgets
- Develop and implement process improvements that increase efficiency, accuracy, and automation in assigned activities
- Support annual audits by preparing schedules, answering auditor questions, and following accounting standards and company policies
Talablar
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or a related field is required
- Four to six years of accounting experience, including at least two years handling accruals, month-end close, reconciliations, or financial reporting
- Strong working knowledge of GAAP
- Experience in fintech, SaaS, or technology-focused industries is preferred
- Advanced Excel proficiency
- Experience with ERP platforms such as NetSuite, Oracle, or SAP is strongly preferred
- Exceptional attention to detail and strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
- Capacity to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, high-growth environment
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively with finance and non-finance teams
