Remote Professional Billing Specialist – Follow-Up and Denials at OU Health
OU Health is seeking a remote professional billing specialist to submit claims, resolve errors, and manage denial follow-up for its academic medical system. The role is available to candidates working from eligible U.S. states.
Tavsif
- Prepare and submit professional medical claims
- Resolve routine claim errors and rejections
- Manage assigned billing and follow-up queues in Epic
- Use working knowledge of CPT, ICD-10-CM, modifiers, and payer requirements
- Achieve established productivity, quality, and turnaround targets
- Complete additional duties as assigned
Talablar
- High school diploma or GED is required
- Level 1 requires at least one year of medical insurance experience
- Level 2 requires at least three years of professional billing experience
- Level 2 requires CPB certification within one year of the hire date
- Basic understanding of HIPAA and/or explanation of benefits statements
- Prior experience working with insurance companies
- Foundational knowledge of CPT, ICD-10-CM, modifiers, and payer requirements
- Must reside and work full-time in Arkansas, Kansas, Missouri, Oklahoma, or Texas before the first day of employment
- Available Monday through Friday during daytime hours, with early training beginning between 6:30 and 7:00 a.m.
- Self-directed approach with strong problem-solving ability
