Tavsif

  • Cover short-term, surge, and on-demand needs arising from military requirements.
  • Deliver personal financial counseling and management services to service members and their families at military installations.
  • Provide individual counseling and consult with commanders, providers, and staff.
  • Lead briefings, presentations, classes, seminars, and workshops.
  • Offer referral resources beyond counseling sessions.
  • Coordinate with installation and military branch contacts to meet local needs and keep services within scope.
  • Help service members create spending plans for extended absences.
  • Prepare and distribute financial information materials.
  • Coordinate and promote personal financial management classes and workshops throughout the military lifecycle.
  • Provide age-appropriate classes and seminars when requested.
  • Use virtual counseling and electronic communications when authorized.
  • Handle duty-to-warn cases in accordance with Department of Defense protocol.
  • Communicate with leadership and take part in individual and group supervision.
  • Report trends and issues affecting assigned installations.
  • Participate in in-service sessions, training, quality improvement committees, and other contract activities.
  • Carry out other assigned duties.

Talablar

  • Bachelor’s degree required.
  • An associate degree plus four years of experience may be accepted instead of a bachelor’s degree.
  • A high school diploma plus six years of experience may be accepted instead of a bachelor’s degree.
  • At least three years of financial counseling experience.
  • U.S. citizenship required.
  • Fluent English required.
  • English and Spanish bilingual fluency required if specified by the contract.
  • Ability to obtain a favorably adjudicated Tier 2 investigation.
  • Must pass the Congressionally Mandated Disclosures for Organizational Conflicts of Interest process.
  • Must hold an Accredited Financial Counselor (AFC), Certified Financial Planner (CFP), or Chartered Financial Consultant (ChFC) credential.
  • Valid driver’s license for the state of employment.
