Mainframe Modernization Engineer
At Kyndryl, identify mainframe modernization opportunities and shape cloud architecture solutions. Lead technical teams, reviews, roadmaps, and architecture documentation.
Tavsif
- Assess and prioritize modernization roadmaps based on cost and risk
- Design software frameworks, systems, products, interfaces, and business application prototypes
- Find and address weaknesses in framework design
- Guide application development teams on technical matters
- Review designs and code
- Maintain application design standards across the enterprise
- Work with stakeholders to align architecture with business needs
- Develop and maintain software architecture and application design documentation
- Set out component integration and testing guidelines
Talablar
- Architect large customer change and transformation projects
- Bring in-depth knowledge of hardware and software, including how platforms connect
- The Open Group Master Certified Architect credential or equivalent is preferred
- Prior hands-on experience in a mainframe environment is preferred
- Experience with mainframe projects involving Modernize On, Integrate With, and Move Off is preferred
- Strong knowledge of z/OS, IBM software products, and third-party mainframe software is preferred
