Business Systems Manager – NetSuite | Bird Buddy | Remote in Slovenia
Lead NetSuite strategy, delivery, governance, and adoption for Bird Buddy’s connected smart bird-feeder business. Improve ERP reliability, monthly close, and operational efficiency across finance, supply chain, and other business functions.
Tavsif
- Lead ERP strategy and delivery so the company’s systems can support growth and operate more efficiently.
- Collect cross-functional needs and steer the NetSuite development and adoption roadmap.
- Act as the central NetSuite contact for the CFO, COO, and executive team.
- Consolidate competing requests into one clearly ranked delivery backlog.
- Coordinate internal specialists and external managed-service partners.
- Convert business needs into actionable technical requirements and assess completed work.
- Set project priorities and determine the sequence of delivery.
- Plan system rollout, development, and onboarding for teams that do not yet use the platform.
- Oversee vendors, partners, governance, budgets, and build-or-buy evaluations.
- Improve system stability and maintain reliable operations through peak trading periods.
- Control changes that affect financial statements or closed periods, including approvals and release timing.
- Establish operating rhythms and maintain practical documentation through runbooks.
- Improve the consistency of monthly close, system adoption, and efficiency across the business.
Talablar
- Demonstrated end-to-end ownership of an ERP platform, preferably NetSuite, in a lean startup or scale-up with limited support resources.
- Broad understanding of business operations spanning finance, supply chain, operations, and sales channels.
- Sound judgment about which problems merit investment, with the ability to turn them into buildable technical requirements.
- Background in consumer products, e-commerce, or hardware businesses operating through webstores, marketplaces such as Amazon, and retail partners.
- Subscription experience is preferred, as is managing a system through peak season without regression.
- Practical, grounded working style with a habit of diagnosing issues before recommending changes and explaining the business case.
- Experience managing vendor relationships and budgets, including build-versus-buy decisions.
- At least eight years of professional experience, including several years leading or owning a system, program, or team.
- Fluent working English.
- Hands-on experience with NetSuite OneWorld across multiple subsidiaries and currencies is preferred.
- Product management experience is preferred.
