Behavioral Health Counselor / Therapist – Winchester, VA (Onsite)
Provide addiction counseling, assessments, and treatment planning at BrightView’s Winchester clinic. Work with an onsite multidisciplinary team to coordinate patient care.
Tavsif
- Plan and lead group therapy and patient intake assessments based on clinic needs and best-practice guidance
- Use crisis intervention and de-escalation techniques
- Contribute to treatment planning
- Track patients’ progress toward treatment goals
- Coordinate care with the onsite multidisciplinary team
- Attend required meetings, including onsite staff and multidisciplinary team meetings
- Document treatment information promptly and thoroughly in the electronic health record
- Comply with regulatory standards and company policies
Talablar
- At least one year of experience in a relevant field
- An active entry-level clinical certification or license that meets state regulations, such as CSAC-S
- Education that meets state regulations and requirements
- Strong spoken and written communication skills
- Empathy and compassion to support patients through recovery
- Ability to collaborate in a multidisciplinary healthcare setting
- Adaptability in a changing work environment
- Comfort using multiple systems for communication and documentation
- Familiarity with Microsoft Office applications such as Outlook, Teams, and Word is preferred
- Experience with harm reduction is a plus
