Build and operate cloud systems, developer tools, and automation for Mozilla’s Firefox engineering organization. Improve reliability, observability, and operational efficiency through open-source engineering.
Descriere
- Build and run software and systems that support Firefox engineering.
- Develop tools, CI/CD pipelines, workflow automation, and AI-assisted development capabilities.
- Take complex technical problems from investigation through resolution across software, cloud, and operations, improving reliability, performance, observability, and cost efficiency.
- Partner with Firefox engineering, Cloud Engineering, IT, and other teams to address cross-functional technical and organizational challenges.
- Analyze telemetry, metrics, and other data to investigate issues and inform engineering decisions.
- Shape architecture and technical strategy by identifying recurring challenges and solutions that can serve multiple teams.
- Move between projects and technical domains, joining existing efforts or independently owning problems that need focused attention.
- Contribute improvements to the wider open-source ecosystem.
Cerințe
- Strong software engineering skills and substantial hands-on experience deploying and operating production systems.
- Strong programming ability in languages such as Python or JavaScript/TypeScript; C++ or Rust experience is useful.
- Experience building, deploying, and operating production systems in cloud environments.
- Experience using infrastructure as code tools such as Terraform.
- Experience in several areas, such as CI/CD, containers and orchestration, networking, databases, observability, or developer tooling.
- Experience applying data, telemetry, and metrics to investigate technical issues and guide decisions.
- Familiarity with modern AI-assisted development tools, including their capabilities, limitations, and appropriate uses.
- Ability to work with unfamiliar systems and bring them to a sustainable operating state.
- Ability to collaborate across disciplines and connect software, infrastructure, and operational concerns.
