Staff Frontend Software Engineer
Lead frontend development for Block Labs’ multi-brand platforms using React, Next.js, and TypeScript. Build design systems and deliver consumer products with AI coding agents.
Descriere
- Own frontend architecture, standards, quality, and production behavior across a multi-brand platform.
- Enable new brands through configuration, theming, brand-aware routing and content, and clear boundaries between shared and brand-specific code.
- Develop and maintain the design system and component library for engineers, designers, and AI-assisted prototyping.
- Move product prototypes into production features at speed.
- Create workflows and tools that make prototype-to-production delivery repeatable.
- Use AI coding agents daily, with quality checks suited to their development speed.
- Define best practices for AI coding agent use across the team.
- Deliver consumer-facing interfaces with care for detail, performance, and accessibility.
- Raise UX and product concerns with product owners, supported by alternatives and working examples.
- Contribute as an individual owner of products from end to end, accountable for their behavior in production.
Cerințe
- At least 8 years building production consumer web applications, including several years with Staff-level or equivalent ownership.
- Experience taking frontend projects from an initial brief through production and owning them after launch.
- Extensive use of AI coding agents as a primary development approach, supported by an established setup and quality controls.
- Deep expertise in React, Next.js, and modern TypeScript.
- Clear judgment about rendering strategies and when they are unsuitable.
- Hands-on experience building or re-architecting multi-brand, multi-tenant, or white-label frontend systems.
- Experience creating or owning a design system and component library.
- Strong UI and UX sensibility.
- Experience working with non-engineers who build using AI tools.
- Demonstrated production work improving Core Web Vitals.
- Ability to work autonomously with lightweight processes and communicate clearly in writing.
- Strong written and spoken English.
- Preferred: experience with real-time, highly interactive consumer interfaces.
- Preferred: background in fintech, crypto, real-time gaming, entertainment, or another high-traffic consumer product.
- Preferred: tools, skills, or integrations that improve agent performance in a codebase or design system.
- Preferred: working knowledge of CI/CD and cloud environments.
