Descriere

  • Lead the design and delivery of high-impact technical initiatives for Fanatics Live.
  • Build and evolve scalable architectures for live commerce, discovery, community, and transactions.
  • Resolve complex engineering challenges across systems, services, and teams.
  • Set technical direction, reusable patterns, and engineering standards.
  • Work with Product and Design to turn customer and business opportunities into technical solutions.
  • Contribute directly through architecture, prototyping, implementation, reviews, debugging, and complex problem-solving.
  • Identify and mitigate risks to scalability, reliability, security, performance, and operations.
  • Balance delivery pace, customer experience, technical quality, operational complexity, and platform health.
  • Strengthen observability, testing, deployment safety, performance, and resilience.
  • Lead responses to major production incidents and deliver platform improvements.
  • Mentor engineers through design and code reviews and technical leadership.
  • Align engineering teams and explain technical decisions to technical and non-technical partners.

Cerințe

  • At least eight years of professional software engineering experience, including building and operating production software at scale.
  • Extensive modern software engineering expertise, with substantial frontend, backend, API, distributed systems, or full-stack experience.
  • Experience designing and delivering complex systems across multiple services, components, or engineering teams.
  • Experience leading major technical initiatives without formal people-management responsibility.
  • Strong knowledge of scalable web architecture, APIs, caching, asynchronous processing, cloud infrastructure, performance, and reliability.
  • Ability to work through ambiguity and establish a clear way forward.
  • Sound architectural judgment and the ability to balance immediate delivery with long-term technical health.
  • Experience shaping engineering standards, architecture, or development practices beyond individual projects.
  • Strong communication skills, including explaining complex technical choices and tradeoffs.
  • A record of mentoring engineers.
  • Preferred: experience with large consumer marketplaces, e-commerce, live streaming, social or community products, payments, auctions, or real-time digital services.
  • Preferred: experience supporting prominent live events or quickly shifting traffic patterns.
  • Preferred: experience with real-time communication technologies and event-driven architecture.
  • Preferred: experience improving consumer web application performance, reliability, and conversion.
