Senior Software Engineer, SDK and Map Visualization Engines — TomTom, Hybrid Netherlands
Build TomTom’s map-rendering engines and mobile visualization SDKs for phones and automotive systems. Develop graphics pipelines that bring satellite imagery, buildings, roads, and live map data to life.
Descriere
- Design solutions for complex rendering challenges involving large map scenes, strict frame budgets, and resource-constrained mobile and automotive hardware
- Work across the rendering stack, including C#, mobile APIs, graphics pipelines, and shader-level development
- Own a technical area and lead related improvements within the team
- Deliver incrementally through agile development practices
- Use AI as a regular part of the engineering workflow
- Contribute to rendering engines and the mobile SDK layer for map visualization
- Create technology that renders satellite imagery, buildings, roads, and live map content on mobile devices and in-car systems
Cerințe
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related discipline
- At least three years of equivalent experience using one or more modern programming languages
- Strong ability in C++, C#, Kotlin, or Swift, with genuine productivity in at least one
- Experience contributing to a mobile SDK layer
- Professional software engineering experience across the full development lifecycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control, builds, testing, and operations
- Strong written and spoken English communication skills
- Either substantial Android or iOS engineering experience with an interest in rendering and computer graphics, or experience with computer graphics, rendering engines, or visualization and an interest in learning mobile platform development
