Senior Software Engineer, API Development (Brazil, Remote)
Design APIs, distributed systems, and strategic integrations as a senior software engineer. Help build public safety technology that supports communities, organizations, and emergency responders.
Descriere
- Develop and maintain software for organizational products and systems.
- Integrate software and hardware systems to sustain throughput and program consistency.
- Create, validate, and test system structures and user documentation.
- Set technical direction for internal API integrations across products and external partnership programs.
- Design, build, and deploy integrations with third-party applications and services.
- Support data ingestion and distribution across the product portfolio.
- Work with product teams to identify cross-product use cases and define API architecture and development.
- Help shape architecture and best practices for developer programs serving external API partners.
- Build connected technologies that help protect people, property, and places in the public safety sector.
Cerințe
- Bring at least 7 years of professional software engineering experience, focused substantially on API development, distributed systems, and enterprise integration.
- Demonstrate expertise designing and implementing RESTful APIs or comparable protocols.
- Have experience with API lifecycle management, OAuth, API keys, OpenAPI or Swagger documentation, and versioning.
- Possess strong hands-on development skills in an object-oriented language such as Java or C#.
- Have substantial experience with SQL databases such as Postgres or MySQL and NoSQL databases such as MongoDB or CosmosDB.
- Understand integration patterns, message queues, event-driven architectures, and data transformation techniques.
- Be familiar with XSLT for complex data mapping.
- Have practical experience implementing and maintaining CI/CD pipelines, preferably with GitHub Actions.
- Have experience building and deploying applications in a public cloud; Azure is preferred.
- Experience with Azure API Manager or a comparable API gateway or management platform is a significant advantage.
- Have experience with microservices architecture and container orchestration tools such as Kubernetes.
- Have experience with integration platforms such as MuleSoft Anypoint Platform or similar tools.
