Williams Parker is seeking a senior patent attorney to expand its intellectual property practice. The role advises innovators, manufacturers, technology companies, and businesses on patent strategy, commercialization, licensing, and related IP matters.
Descriere
- Provide counsel on patent, trademark, copyright, trade secret, and other intellectual property matters
- Connect clients’ legal protections to their commercial objectives
- Advise on patentability, freedom to operate, infringement exposure, portfolio growth, technology protection, and long-term IP planning
- Prepare and negotiate licenses, technology agreements, confidentiality agreements, assignments, and other IP transactions
- Work with attorneys across Corporate, Litigation, Real Estate, Tax, Labor & Employment, and Trusts & Estates
- Build lasting client relationships and expand referral networks
- Guide and develop attorneys and professional staff
- Help grow the firm’s Intellectual Property practice
- Represent clients across Florida and beyond from the Sarasota office
Cerințe
- Admission to practice before the United States Patent and Trademark Office
- Around 10 or more years of private-practice experience advising on patents, trademarks, technology, and intellectual property
- Proven experience guiding inventors, entrepreneurs, manufacturers, technology companies, and business owners through complex IP issues
- Substantial experience assessing patent portfolios, IP risks, innovation strategies, and competitive positioning
- An established, portable book of business
- A commitment to building lasting client and referral relationships
- Skill in turning complex legal and technical issues into clear, commercially practical advice
- Juris Doctor degree from an ABA-accredited law school
- Florida Bar membership or eligibility for admission
