Descriere

  • Build and maintain mainframe applications and libraries supporting large-scale banking databases
  • Create efficient, reliable libraries and modern microservices for future-facing applications
  • Manage planning, requirements analysis, implementation, and operations across the application lifecycle
  • Work with decentralized programmers and infrastructure, George, payment transactions, and data warehouse teams
  • Investigate faults and resolve issues to keep products operating smoothly
  • Enhance existing systems and produce Functional and Technical Specifications plus software and process documentation
  • Engineer secure, fault-tolerant software
  • Work within agile teams and own assigned responsibilities
  • Provide occasional support during night or weekend hours

Cerințe

  • Professional experience with Natural/Adabas
  • Comfort working in mainframe environments and familiarity with decentralized programmers
  • Genuine interest in using AI-assisted development tools
  • Ability to collaborate as an equal partner with decentralized programmers
  • Strong understanding of application lifecycle activities, including planning, requirements analysis, implementation, and operations
  • Several years of professional experience, ideally in banking
  • Software development experience with COBOL/DB2, ADABAS/Natural, SQL, CICS, ISPF, and JCL on IBM Mainframe z/OS
  • Background developing secure, fault-tolerant software
  • Knowledge of SQL databases including Oracle and PostgreSQL
  • Team-oriented, dependable, resilient, self-motivated, and analytical working style
  • Ability to communicate complex subjects clearly to a broad audience
  • Ability to move quickly while preserving quality and attention to detail
  • Motivation to improve existing systems and produce Functional and Technical Specifications plus software and process documentation
  • Willingness to learn continuously and share expertise
  • Comfort working in agile environments and owning assigned tasks
  • Strong German and English communication skills
  • Availability for occasional night or weekend duties
