Senior Accounting Manager, Close and Consolidation

Lead Zillow’s close transformation, consolidation, and scalable accounting operations. Oversee intercompany accounting, SOX controls, financial analysis, and month-end close execution.

Descriere

  • Co-lead initiatives to optimize and streamline the close process.
  • Identify manual workflows, develop improvement roadmaps, and deliver scalable solutions.
  • Manage close communications, facilitation, and progress tracking.
  • Maintain the materials, templates, and frameworks that coordinate close activities.
  • Lead recurring cross-functional accounting programs, including close management and consolidation.
  • Oversee intercompany accounting and collaborate with Tax, Legal, Treasury, and Compliance.
  • Represent Accounting in strategic work such as M&A integrations, entity formation, and reorganizations.
  • Manage project execution across the Accounting organization.
  • Develop and improve operational policies and internal controls to support SOX compliance.
  • Provide financial analysis and establish metrics for the close process.
  • Manage accounting for close areas, including expense accruals.
  • Prepare and review journal entries, reconciliations, variance analyses, and month-end close documentation.
  • Review intercompany activity and ensure accurate settlements under shared-service and transfer-pricing agreements.

Cerințe

  • At least 8 years of progressive accounting experience.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance required.
  • CPA preferred.
  • Strong command of US GAAP.
  • Experience with intercompany accounting and multi-entity consolidation.
  • Preferred exposure to international subsidiaries and transfer-pricing processes.
  • Proficiency in preparing and reviewing journal entries and reconciliations.
  • Ability to lead or support cross-functional projects and programs.
  • Process improvement and automation mindset, with a record of delivering scalable solutions.
  • Strong communication and facilitation skills.
  • Ability to align Finance, Tax, FP&A, Legal, and Technology teams without direct authority.
  • Excellent organization and attention to detail.
  • Advanced Excel skills required.
  • Experience with Workday Financials or another enterprise ERP and similar data tools preferred.
