Senior Accountant — Minnesota Remote
Support financial reporting, budgeting, reconciliations, and close processes at Pinnacle Marketing Group. The company provides social media, web, video, graphic design, and directory services.
Descriere
- Prepare journal entries, maintain the general ledger, and reconcile balance sheet accounts each month.
- Manage the chart of accounts and ensure transactions are coded correctly.
- Review payroll data and record payroll journal entries to support payroll processing.
- Collect department data for the annual budget and periodic forecasts.
- Track cash activity and produce cash position reports.
- Handle monthly, quarterly, and annual close tasks and prepare draft financial statements.
- Create budget-to-actual variance reports and contribute to budgeting and cash flow forecasts.
- Prepare audit schedules for the independent accounting firm.
- Help file sales and use tax and property tax returns.
Cerințe
- Hold a bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or a related field.
- Have at least two years of general accounting experience; experience in marketing, media, or services is a plus.
- Know GAAP, the full accounting cycle, month-end close, and reconciliations.
- Use accounting software such as QuickBooks, Sage, NetSuite, or a comparable system.
- Demonstrate strong Excel skills.
- Bring strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Meet deadlines reliably.
- Handle confidential information with discretion.
- CPA certification or progress toward CPA eligibility is a plus.
