Oversee general ledger reporting, close activities, audits, and US GAAP compliance for NorthStar Memorial Group in Houston. Support acquisition integration, accounting process improvements, and day-to-day financial operations.

Descriere

  • Reconcile general ledger accounts and ensure accurate, complete reporting that follows US GAAP and company standards.
  • Develop, update, and document accounting processes and systems for monthly, quarterly, and annual work.
  • Review business activity, financial trends, costs, revenues, commitments, and obligations to assign expenses to the correct period.
  • Investigate monthly account movements and budget variances.
  • Review journal entries and account reconciliations prepared by the offshore accounting team.
  • Prepare and check journal entries for review or posting by a Senior Accountant, Manager, or Controller.
  • Process unusual reporting transactions.
  • Calculate and record expense allocations.
  • Contribute to special projects, priority assignments, and reports.
  • Address information requests from senior management and field offices.
  • Help accounting colleagues resolve issues and strengthen their work.
  • Complete month-end close activities by established deadlines.
  • Support interim and year-end audits.
  • Assist with accounting integration following acquisitions.
  • Coordinate with other departments and field offices.

Cerințe

  • Hold a bachelor’s degree in accounting or an equivalent qualification.
  • Understand the application of US GAAP.
  • Have at least five years of accounting experience.
  • CPA designation preferred.
