Principal AWS Platform Engineer
Shape AWS, DevOps and AI infrastructure as a Principal Platform Engineer. Build secure developer platforms for Objective’s SaaS products serving government and regulated industries.
Descriere
- Design and advance secure, high-performing cloud platforms, automation and developer tools.
- Set the architecture, standards and roadmap for AWS platforms, DevOps tools and internal developer platforms.
- Create scalable infrastructure and developer tools that teams can use independently.
- Set practices for CI/CD, Infrastructure as Code, repository management and automated deployments.
- Build and operate infrastructure for AI/ML workloads, LLM management, model deployment and AI service orchestration.
- Integrate security, governance, scalability and operational resilience into platform design and engineering.
- Work with senior technology leaders, mentor engineers and guide architecture across product teams.
- Improve platform efficiency, reliability and AWS resource use.
- Assess emerging technologies in cloud, platform engineering and AI.
- Report to the Cloud Operations Director and collaborate with the CTO, CISO, Cloud Operations and Product Engineering teams.
Cerințe
- Hold a valid NV1 clearance or be able to obtain one.
- Bring extensive experience designing and architecting complex, production-grade AWS environments.
- Have strong hands-on platform engineering experience, including internal developer platforms, self-service infrastructure and reusable engineering capabilities.
- Have deep expertise in DevOps, CI/CD and Infrastructure as Code, using Terraform, CloudFormation and GitLab.
- Have experience with modern cloud architectures, including microservices, containers, serverless technologies and distributed systems.
- Have experience managing AI/ML infrastructure and LLM platforms, including model deployment, AI service integration or orchestration.
- Have strong programming and automation skills in Python, Go or Java.
- Understand cloud security, identity and access management, networking and compliance frameworks.
- Have experience with developer portal technologies such as Backstage or similar tools.
- Be able to influence technical strategy, mentor engineers and collaborate with senior stakeholders.
- Experience with security frameworks such as ISO 27001, IRAP, NZISM or Essential Eight is valued.
- Experience with cloud cost optimisation practices is valued.
