Descriere

  • Collect data, prepare reports, and improve reporting processes.
  • Analyze departmental database information to produce business intelligence.
  • Audit databases regularly to maintain reliable, accurate information.
  • Respond to custom reporting and file requests by defining needs, building and testing queries, and managing data imports and exports.
  • Set up eligibility data exchanges and document data mappings for custom file formats.
  • Test vendor data files, establish profiles, and record procedures.
  • Apply statistical methods to interpret data and results, and deliver regular reports.
  • Find and interpret trends and patterns in moderately sized data sets.
  • Review, document, and improve business processes, including database management and process development.
  • Support reporting analysts with data validation tools and methods.
  • Run quality checks to maintain the accuracy of data, reports, and file extracts.
  • Check report and file outputs to confirm data integrity.
  • Update departmental leaders and work with other BCBSLA divisions.
  • Carry out other job-related duties within the role's responsibilities.

Cerințe

  • A bachelor's degree in information management systems, computer science, business administration, or a related field; four years of related experience may substitute for the degree.
  • At least two years of experience with queries and operational reporting, including modifying queries and reports, manipulating and analyzing data, and producing ad hoc reports.
  • Experience with one or more of Microsoft Access, SQL Server, SQL Server Management Studio (SSMS), Microsoft Visual Studio, and Microsoft SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS).
  • Experience researching departmental data, working with databases, validating information, analyzing and interpreting data, and producing accurate reports and summaries.
  • Computer skills, including Microsoft Office and related software.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively in a team.
  • Authorization to work for Louisiana Blue in the United States without employer-sponsored immigration support.
  • No licenses or certifications are required.
  • Successful completion of background and pre-employment drug screening after an offer and before starting work.
