Natural Gas Designer – Pittsburgh or Columbus Hybrid
Design natural gas pipelines, as-built plans, and CAD drawings for Wade Trim’s infrastructure engineering work. This hybrid role supports projects from the Pittsburgh or Columbus offices.
Descriere
- Draft natural gas pipeline layouts, as-built plans, and mechanical detail drawings using computer-aided design tools.
- Convert legacy pipeline drawings into AutoCAD files.
- Prepare bills of materials for project work.
- Produce working drawings with a plotter.
- Estimate the time needed to complete assigned projects.
- Participate in project meetings to establish CAD production schedules.
- Back up project data on a daily and weekly basis.
- Process 811 design requests and coordinate responses to identify third-party infrastructure.
- Review and organize survey notes from field visits.
- Provide project support to Project Managers when required.
- Participate in additional meetings as needed.
- Build and preserve strong client relationships.
- Follow safe-work practices and help maintain a safe workplace.
- Contribute to the Industrial Commercial Energy team’s infrastructure improvement work.
Cerințe
- A high school diploma is required.
- At least three years of experience with natural gas distribution systems and design, natural gas infrastructure, regulator stations, high-pressure steel, compression, and applicable government regulations.
- At least three years of drafting experience in the natural gas industry.
- Experience using Autodesk Civil 3D.
- Working knowledge of personal computer hardware and software configurations.
- Familiarity with AutoCAD 3D is required.
- Strong technical writing, organizational, and communication abilities.
- Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with others.
- Compression station design experience is preferred.
- Experience modeling horizontal directional drilling (HDD) is preferred.
- Experience with CadWorx or Autodesk Plant 3D is preferred.
- A bachelor’s degree in civil, environmental, or a related field is preferred.
