- Create records for APA discovery tools
- Describe and index scholarly content accurately
- Check records for quality before they are released in products
- Improve processes and automated tools to raise record quality and processing efficiency
- Select articles, books, chapters, and tests from psychology and related fields, including English and non-English publications
- Create records that represent document content, with accurate descriptions and precise search details
- Use judgment to resolve problems beyond established guidelines when needed to meet deadlines
- Review basic records created by staff, freelancers, and outsourcing vendors for quality
- Spot inconsistencies in automated output and help reduce process error rates
- Provide feedback and contribute to the development of machine-assisted indexing
- Test quality control processes
- Work with staff across OPD and APA on projects
- Carry out other assigned duties
Cerințe
- A bachelor’s degree is required, preferably in psychology or a related social science, with substantial psychology coursework
- Two years of online production experience in a scholarly publishing environment is preferred
- Proficiency with Acrobat Reader
- Proficiency with Microsoft Word
- Proficiency with Microsoft Excel
- Proficiency with email software
- Familiarity with web-based production systems
- Advanced proficiency with internet search systems
- Familiarity with videoconferencing software
- Familiarity with online collaboration tools
