Descriere

  • Develop web, backend, and mobile features with guidance from experienced developers.
  • Build and integrate REST APIs.
  • Write PostgreSQL queries to support application features.
  • Investigate bugs, examine logs and error messages, reproduce issues, and test fixes.
  • Create and maintain automated tests.
  • Use Git and GitHub to manage branches, issues, pull requests, and code reviews.
  • Clarify business needs and work with the team to turn them into technical tasks.
  • Document changes, setup instructions, and troubleshooting steps.
  • Communicate progress, questions, and blockers clearly in English.
  • Work independently on assigned tasks and seek support when needed.
  • Help prioritize production issues that affect users and daily operations.
  • Manage workload independently in a fully remote setting.
  • Meet deadlines and share regular progress updates.
  • Take responsibility for assigned work and track requests through GitHub or other project tools.
  • Support the web and mobile platform used in the daily operations of a U.S.-based materials company.
  • Grow into ownership of more complex work and senior-level responsibilities.

Cerințe

  • Recent graduate or early-career developer with strong programming fundamentals and practical project experience.
  • Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Systems Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent technical training.
  • Sound knowledge of programming fundamentals, object-oriented programming, data structures, and relational databases.
  • Practical project or internship experience with Java/Spring Boot and React.
  • Familiarity with PostgreSQL, including basic queries and relational data modeling.
  • Ability to build or use REST APIs.
  • Working knowledge of Git and GitHub, including branches and pull requests.
  • Basic understanding of debugging, error handling, and automated testing.
  • Professional English for team meetings, documentation, and technical discussions.
  • Fluency in both Spanish and English.
  • Willingness to learn, act on feedback, investigate problems, and complete assigned work.
  • Some exposure to Kotlin.
  • Some exposure to React Native/Expo and mobile development.
  • Some exposure to AWS and cloud applications.
  • Some exposure to Docker and Linux.
  • Some exposure to CI/CD, especially GitHub Actions.
  • Some exposure to requirements analysis and technical documentation.
  • Some exposure to modern SaaS development practices.
  • Personal computer or workstation and reliable internet access.
  • Availability Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Florida time.
  • Full focus on the role during scheduled hours.
  • Ability to install monitoring and productivity software in a dedicated work session.
  • Must be based in Latin America.
