In-Building RF Design and Deployment Engineer

Design and deploy iBwave-based in-building DAS and neutral-host systems for CTS. Review carrier compliance, coordinate field deployments, commission signal sources, and troubleshoot performance issues.

Descriere

  • Review and optimize iBwave DAS designs for carrier compliance, including band plans, sectorization, and head-end topology
  • Adjust designs to meet coverage, capacity, zoning, and venue requirements
  • Prepare and manage mobile operator submittal packages through final approval
  • Develop project-specific signal source bills of materials that support technical, operational, and financial goals
  • Document radio and IP network designs, including detailed rack and wiring diagrams
  • Coordinate field crews to ensure sites are properly installed and cabled for signal source commissioning
  • Work with onsite System Performance Engineers and take on the SPE role when needed
  • Commission signal sources alongside carrier and OEM personnel
  • Help optimize DAS by setting gains and AGC, balancing uplink and downlink, managing noise floors, and addressing PIM, oscillation, and pilot pollution
  • Plan and oversee acceptance tests, including e911, Functional Call Tests, and walk tests
  • Coordinate post-installation data collection
  • Prepare close-out packages and resolve outstanding issues
  • Report on close-out KPIs, including at least 95% coverage of the design area to specification, session retention targets, and throughput
  • Partner with the project management team to manage deployments and resolve performance issues

Cerințe

  • Be currently authorized to work in the United States; CTS does not sponsor employment-based visas or immigration status
  • Demonstrate strong iBwave skills, with Level 2 certification or equivalent and sufficient experience to review, revise, and optimize designs
  • Have experience preparing or reviewing mobile operator submittal packages
  • Understand mobile operator design requirements and expectations broadly
  • Bring in-building wireless experience across DAS OEMs such as ADRF, Corning, Andrew, JMA, and SOLiD
  • Have experience with operator-grade small cells, including Ericsson, Nokia, and Andrew
  • Have commissioning and optimization experience
  • Have experience using comprehensive project management tools
  • Be able to prioritize tasks, manage time, and organize work effectively
  • Have delivered projects in multi-site programs with remote field teams
  • Provide excellent documentation and communicate effectively with stakeholders
  • Be able to identify and complete tasks independently
  • Have strong communication and problem-solving skills
  • Be able to troubleshoot network issues and work under pressure during business hours and, when needed, outside them
  • A BS or BA in Engineering, or equivalent experience in RF/DAS systems, is preferred
  • Cellular network operator integration experience with AT&T, Verizon, or T-Mobile is preferred
  • OEM certifications in ADRF, Corning, CommScope, JMA, or SOLiD are preferred
  • Experience with neutral-host alternatives to DAS, such as Ericsson Radio Dot and Andrew OneCell, is preferred
  • Experience creating CIQs and other configurations for Ericsson, Nokia, or Andrew cellular radio systems is preferred.
  • A BS or BA in Engineering, or equivalent experience in RF/DAS systems, is preferred
