- Lead development of security products for Airbnb engineers, including secure development frameworks, secure by default infrastructure, and identity and access platforms.
- Set the roadmap for secure SDLC, vulnerability management, infrastructure security, and platform identity products.
- Guide product decisions around users, adoption, and deprecation.
- Identify gaps in Airbnb’s security posture and turn them into initiatives owned by the team.
- Present engineering progress, implications, timelines, and requests to leadership.
- Resolve cross-team ownership questions about platform identity, agentic identity, and infrastructure policy.
- Support senior and Staff engineers through sponsorship, hiring, promotion cases, and coaching.
- Work with infrastructure, product engineering, compliance, and other cross-functional partners.
Cerințe
- At least 3–5 years of hands-on experience managing a software engineering team.
- At least 9 years of relevant software development experience in a fast-paced technology environment.
- Bachelor’s and/or master’s degree, preferably in computer science, or equivalent experience.
- Strong product and design judgment.
- Demonstrated experience building well-designed user experiences.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
- Experience working with multiple engineering teams and cross-functional partners.
- A flexible leadership style that adapts to different ways of working.
- Experience leading and delivering large initiatives with significant business impact.
- Experience shipping or operating security engineering software or infrastructure products used by and integrated with software engineering teams.
- Ability to build a strong culture of operational excellence focused on quality, reliability, and availability.
- Must live in a state where Airbnb, Inc. has a registered entity.
