Commercial Counsel, India (Remote)
Negotiate global commercial contracts for Akamai Technologies, a cloud, edge, security, and content delivery company. Advise teams across the business on commercial legal risks and compliance.
Descriere
- Draft and negotiate English-language commercial agreements with Akamai’s global customers and partners
- Support commercial teams worldwide
- Advise Sales, Finance, Tax, Compliance, Information Security, and Product Management on legal risks in commercial sales contracts
- Promote consistent application of Akamai’s legal and business policies and practices
- Contribute to initiatives that improve the legal department’s performance
- Partner with Legal and Sales as a trusted adviser to internal stakeholders across the business
Cerințe
- Hold a law degree from an accredited institution
- Be licensed to practice in a relevant jurisdiction and remain in good standing
- Have at least three years of legal experience supporting Sales teams in private practice or in-house
- Technology or telecommunications client experience is preferred
- Demonstrate strong project and time management skills
- Apply sound business judgment, prioritize effectively, and follow through reliably in a fast-paced, multi-project environment
- Have a solid grasp of commercial law, intellectual property rights, and privacy and data protection
- Be fluent in English
- Draft clear, concise contracts and negotiate legal terms by phone or video
- Bring excellent organizational and interpersonal skills
