Backend Engineer – EnerSys | Gambellara, Italy (Onsite)
Build secure APIs and cloud-native backend services for EnerSys’s industrial IoT platform. Work across device management, telemetry, integrations, and scalable energy-storage systems.
Descriere
- Develop, test, and maintain backend services for a cloud-based IoT platform
- Create reliable, scalable, and secure APIs for web and mobile applications, devices, and external systems
- Help shape backend architecture, microservices, data flows, and system integrations
- Support device management, telemetry ingestion, user management, notifications, reporting, firmware updates, and integrations
- Collaborate with frontend, DevOps, architecture, QA, product, and external partner teams
- Keep backend services observable, maintainable, and ready for production
- Produce clean, thoroughly tested, and well-documented code
- Take part in code reviews and reinforce sound engineering practices
- Help make technical decisions involving scalability, performance, security, and maintainability
Cerințe
- Substantial professional experience as a Backend Engineer, Software Engineer, or in a comparable position
- Demonstrated ability to design and implement backend services and REST APIs
- Working knowledge of distributed systems, microservices, and cloud-native architecture
- Experience with relational and/or time-series databases
- Knowledge of authentication, authorization, API security, and secure coding practices
- Experience creating automated tests and using CI/CD pipelines
- Ability to interpret requirements and turn them into robust technical solutions
- Strong analytical problem-solving skills and a clear sense of ownership
- Experience with Agile or iterative software development
- Fluent written and spoken English
- Experience with Python, Microsoft Azure, Azure Kubernetes Service, Azure Container Registry, Azure Key Vault, Azure Blob Storage, Azure Pipelines, Kubernetes, Docker, Helm, GitOps tools, IoT platforms, telemetry ingestion, device management, firmware update workflows, message brokers, event-driven architecture, high-throughput data pipelines, infrastructure as code, Terraform, monitoring, logging, tracing, and production support is advantageous but not required
- Ability to work effectively in a distributed, international environment
