Associate Attorney, Debt Collection Litigation
Represent financial institutions in debt collection litigation, from claim review and pleading preparation to court appearances and contested proceedings. Handle cases in Arkansas courts, including trials and arbitrations.

- Appear in court for the firm as needed.
- Review new claims for compliance with firm and client standards.
- Review and approve court filings, including complaints and motions.
- Draft motions and responses in contested matters as needed.
- Argue contested motions and conduct trials and arbitrations.
- Handle telephone and written communications with opposing counsel.
- Prepare and respond to discovery, or oversee counterclaims involving the firm or its clients.
- Manage an individual caseload and support all stages of litigation.
- Build thorough knowledge of court procedures, internal controls, and firm and client policies.
Cerințe
- A Juris Doctor degree and admission to the Arkansas bar are required.
- Additional bar admission in Arizona, Illinois, Indiana, Iowa, Kansas, Missouri, Tennessee, or Wisconsin is an asset.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel.
- Experience with Collection Master or a comparable case management system is preferred but not required.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to work effectively with varied colleagues, judges, opposing counsel, and court clerks.
- Tact, discretion, and courtesy in professional interactions.
- Ability to work independently, make sound decisions, manage timelines, meet deadlines, and maintain accurate, detailed records.
