Accounting Manager – Corporate Accounting (Atlanta Hybrid)
Lead corporate accounting activities across leases, IT, compensation, restructuring, and financial reporting. Maintain U.S. GAAP compliance, strengthen controls, support audits, and develop a direct report.
Descriere
- Own global lease accounting and manage monthly, quarterly, and annual close activities
- Review and approve journal entries related to lease accounting
- Evaluate and improve internal control processes
- Address accounting matters involving subsidiaries and leased-equipment suppliers
- Act as the main point of contact for auditor requests
- Manage IT accounting activities and ensure close deadlines are met
- Review journal entries for capitalized software costs
- Collaborate with GPC IT on complex accounting issues
- Oversee accounting, reporting, and analytical reviews for share-based compensation
- Prepare and assess accounting for asbestos liabilities and related insurance
- Review subsidiary restructuring-liability rollforwards and assist with restructuring-cost reporting
- Prepare and review financial statement footnotes covering leases, share-based compensation, asbestos liabilities and insurance, and AOCI
- Contribute to corporate accounting work, including reserve and accrual analysis, financial adjustments, budget inputs, and forecasting
- Lead and support the development of one direct report
Cerințe
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting
- At least five years of accounting experience
- Strong knowledge of financial statements and accounting principles
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including financial modeling, pivot tables, and formulas
- High level of accuracy and attention to detail
- Strong analytical, judgment, and problem-solving abilities
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Active CPA license preferred
- Background in auditing
- Experience with Oracle PeopleSoft and IBM Planning Analytics
