Support Granite Construction’s heavy civil projects through estimating, quantity takeoffs, documentation, and cost-control work.
Apraksts
- Support construction engineering activities and help verify that field operations follow applicable engineering standards
- Review plans and drawings to complete takeoffs and support workforce planning for bids and construction projects
- Create and circulate status reports, punch lists, as-built sketches, and material quantity calculations
- Offer technical guidance on project materials, delivery timing, and construction schedules
- Support change orders and estimates by producing drawings and sketches
- Prepare quantity takeoffs and material pricing for reliable estimates and bids
- Track work quantities and installed materials accurately for project cost control
Prasības
- Hold a high school diploma or GED and be pursuing a bachelor’s degree
- Preferred area of study: civil engineering, construction management, business administration, or a related discipline
- Have 0–2 years of experience in construction estimating support, engineering, field support, or a comparable area
- Use Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint, proficiently
- Perform trigonometric calculations manually or with a calculator
- Take ownership of assigned responsibilities and communicate effectively with others
- Follow the company’s corporate safety initiatives
- Observe the company’s Code of Conduct in daily work
- Have a valid driver’s license and the ability to drive
- Meet pre-employment and random drug and alcohol testing requirements
- Occasionally lift or move items weighing up to 50 pounds
- Work safely around large construction equipment and follow required safety procedures
