Server Operating Systems and Virtualization Administrator
Administer VMware virtualization environments, virtual machines, and enterprise operating systems at Brazilian technology company Lanlink. This onsite role also covers Tier 3 infrastructure support, monitoring, and operational documentation.
Apraksts
- Manage the installation, configuration, maintenance, and updates of virtualization platforms and their components.
- Provision, maintain, migrate, and retire virtual machines, templates, snapshots, clones, datastores, and related resources.
- Operate high availability, disaster recovery, replication, load balancing, host migration, and fault tolerance capabilities.
- Monitor virtual environments for performance, resource use, capacity, availability, and trends.
- Deliver specialized Tier 3 support for virtualization infrastructure.
- Analyze and report on availability, performance, utilization, capacity, and trends.
- Maintain technical documentation, procedures, inventory, automation, and the virtualization infrastructure CMDB.
- Administer enterprise operating systems, including installation, configuration, updates, patching, security hardening, tuning, and service and user management.
- Update configuration items, attend meetings, resolve support tickets, and complete tasks in the IT Service Catalog.
- Carry out other related duties.
Prasības
- A bachelor’s degree in IT or a related field from an institution recognized by Brazil’s Ministry of Education, or a bachelor’s degree in any field plus an IT graduate specialization or master’s degree certificate totaling at least 360 classroom hours.
- One of these certifications: Red Hat Certified System Administrator (RHCSA), Linux Professional Institute Certification (LPIC-2), or VMware Certified Professional – VMware vSphere Foundation (VCP-VVF) Administrator.
- Completion of an official ITIL 4 Foundation course.
