Senior Compute, Storage and Virtualization Engineer

Apraksts

  • Improve platform performance by finding bottlenecks, investigating root causes, and applying solutions that increase efficiency and resource use.
  • Set performance benchmarks and plan capacity.
  • Work with junior engineers and cross-functional teams to improve infrastructure performance and operations.
  • Refine troubleshooting procedures, reduce downtime, and maintain supporting documentation.
  • Coordinate with vendor technical support to resolve issues.
  • Lead support and troubleshooting for complex or escalated platform and system issues.
  • Tune and optimize systems using IT service management practices.
  • Plan backups for platforms and systems.
  • Lead disaster and system recovery design and testing.
  • Review performance and utilization data, report infrastructure results, and take corrective action.
  • Design and configure complex platforms and systems in line with industry standards and best practices.
  • Build and deploy infrastructure designed for high availability and scalability.
  • Maintain a thorough knowledge base for platforms and systems.
  • Run training, mentor junior engineers, and encourage teams to share knowledge.
  • Design, implement, and support SAN storage platforms.
  • Maintain infrastructure as code and automation frameworks, including automated provisioning, configuration, and validation.
  • Support DevOps practices such as CI/CD pipelines, Git workflows, code reviews, automated testing, and deployment automation.

Prasības

  • Bachelor’s degree in information technology or a related field, or equivalent experience.
  • At least five years of relevant platform engineering experience.
  • Preferred: experience in enterprise compute, virtualization, and storage engineering.
  • Preferred: experience managing infrastructure performance, capacity, and lifecycle.
  • Preferred: experience with SAN storage architecture, business continuity, disaster recovery, and backup technologies.
  • Preferred: experience with infrastructure as code, automation, scripting, APIs, and tool integration.
  • Preferred: experience with DevOps practices, CI/CD pipelines, Git source control, and infrastructure code reviews.
  • Preferred: experience with platform engineering and cloud or infrastructure automation in large enterprise environments.
  • Expertise in compute architecture, SAN storage, systems integration, scripting, and infrastructure automation.
  • Knowledge of cloud infrastructure management, networking, cybersecurity risk management, DevSecOps, programming, IT infrastructure management, performance monitoring, system administration and testing, systems integration, and troubleshooting.
