Controls Process Engineer, Gas Turbine Software
Standardize GE Vernova gas turbine controls software execution processes and documentation. Apply Lean practices and tools such as Confluence and CLM to improve milestone delivery.

- Document and continuously improve engineering execution processes for HDNU Controls System Architect teams.
- Work with GEV and Alliance Architects and the Controlled Title Holder to record current processes.
- Use Lean methods to identify and remove waste.
- Create standardized job aids, work instructions, checklists, and process guides.
- Improve first-pass yield, reduce customer escapes and cycle time, support on-time delivery, and strengthen execution.
- Validate process documentation with GEV Architects, Alliance Controls Engineers, Controlled Title Holders, Global Design Leaders, and Controls leadership.
- Coordinate with CLM administrators and Confluence page owners to uphold platform governance and documentation quality.
- Present improvement plans, documentation progress, and Lean workout results to team and business leaders.
- Help onboard new engineers with documented job aids and checklists.
- Document GT milestone execution across software variants and milestones from PRR through COD.
- Write, publish, and maintain job aids, checklists, and process guides for GT software milestones.
- Connect Confluence Milestone Review Guides to Milestone Test Suites and Child Test Scripts in CLM.
- Add Confluence links between Milestone Review Guides and process step guides.
- Reorganize Confluence pages within New Units (GT Fulfillment).
- Update GT Milestone Checklists and Job Aids and support their pilot use on projects.
- Apply PSR, Gemba Walks, Kaizen Events, 3x5 Why, VSM, and daily management to improve GT milestone execution.
- Lead or assist with VSM current-state and future-state exercises for GT milestone execution.
Prasības
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Electrical, Mechanical, Chemical, or related field) from an accredited college or university.
- At least five years of experience in controls engineering, systems engineering, or a related technical execution role in the power generation industry.
- Strong technical writing skills.
- Ability to create clear, structured process documentation, job aids, checklists, and work instructions.
- Experience in Gas Turbine or Steam Turbine Controls environments.
- Familiarity with milestone-based software execution processes, including Alpha, Integration, Comm SW, Charlie, and First Fire.
- Experience using Lean methodologies in an engineering or manufacturing environment.
- Experience with VSM, PSR, Gemba, Kaizen, and root cause analysis tools such as 3x5 Why.
- Familiarity with Confluence or a comparable engineering knowledge management platform.
- Familiarity with CLM or a comparable test management or checklist platform.
- Experience with GE Vernova tools and platforms, including ControlST, AVEVA (IO tools), ACME, Mark VIe, and CLM.
- Experience working in a global, matrixed organization.
- Knowledge of agile execution methods.
- Experience organizing engineering work as user stories or checklist-based tasks.
- Lean certification (Lean Six Sigma Green Belt or higher, or equivalent GE Vernova Lean training) is strongly preferred.
- Ability to independently complete projects with minimal oversight.
