Aprašymas

  • Report to the CEO and, through a dotted line, the Chief Administrative Officer.
  • Direct daily accounting, including the general ledger, payables, inventory and sales accounting, reconciliations, and month-end close.
  • Manage and develop the finance team, including the Finance Manager.
  • Deliver accurate monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports that meet internal, GAAP, and tax requirements.
  • Maintain and refine cash flow forecasts.
  • Track financial trends across inventory, reserves, returns, fulfillment expenses, and margins.
  • Work with engineering to maintain accurate financial data in Wantable’s commerce and inventory platform.
  • Improve controls and reconciliations for inventory, returns, sales tax, and cash settlements.
  • Coordinate with operations, merchandising, fulfillment, technology, and leadership.
  • Turn financial analysis into practical recommendations for colleagues without finance backgrounds.
  • Contribute to budgeting, forecasting, and strategic planning.
  • Work with the fractional CFO on onboarding, year-end close, audits, and special projects.
  • Coordinate annual audits and reviews with the external accounting partner.
  • Prepare financial materials for banks, factors, payment providers, and card issuers; monitor bank covenants.
  • Review annual business insurance renewals.
  • Coordinate quarterly tax estimates, extensions, and annual returns with external tax partners.
  • Find and implement financial workflows that can scale with the business.
  • Create automation, analytics, and AI-supported tools for reporting, forecasting, and decision-making.
  • Measure and report time, cost, and accuracy improvements from process changes.
  • Take on other assigned duties.

Reikalavimai

  • Progressive accounting and finance experience, including hands-on responsibility for the accounting function as a Controller or in a comparable senior role.
  • Accounting or finance experience in e-commerce, retail, apparel, or another inventory-heavy business.
  • Track record managing month-end close, audits, budgets and forecasts, and cash flow reporting.
  • Strong command of GAAP and financial reporting practices, including inventory, returns, reserves, fulfillment costs, and sales tax.
  • Demonstrated process improvement work with measurable efficiency gains.
  • Experience in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial, high-volume, technology-enabled setting.
  • Organized, collaborative, hands-on, proactive, and focused on solving problems.
  • Practical experience using AI tools and creating automations to improve operations, streamline processes, and support decisions.
  • Interest in researching and exploring new tools.
  • Growth mindset and interest in broader finance work, including budgeting and FP&A, cash and working capital management, and lender and leadership reporting.
  • Manufacturing or internally developed product-line experience is a plus.
  • Familiarity with proprietary software, scripting, or low-code/no-code automation tools is a plus.
  • QuickBooks experience and training are a plus.
  • CPA license is a plus.
