Senior Software Engineer, Verisk Restore
Lead technical design and full-stack delivery for Verisk’s XactRestore insurance restoration software. Mentor engineers and improve engineering practices across the Restore team.

- Partner with product, UX, and engineering colleagues to shape and deliver products
- Investigate customer needs, explore solutions, and evaluate technical feasibility
- Build, review, and troubleshoot production software
- Steer technical design and apply sound architecture and development practices
- Improve software maintainability, reliability, security, and operations
- Break complex projects into manageable work, align dependencies, and control technical risk
- Advance testing, code review, release checks, CI/CD, and automation
- Promote responsible use of AI-assisted and agentic development tools
- Define and monitor measures of software quality, reliability, delivery, and customer results
- Work with Restore engineering leaders on technical direction, standards, incident lessons, build-or-buy choices, and technical debt
- Lead engineering initiatives and support their adoption across teams
- Join the on-call rotation and investigate, mitigate, and resolve incidents
- Review code, mentor colleagues, and provide technical guidance to engineers
Reikalavimai
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science or a related discipline, plus at least seven years of relevant experience
- Background leading complex, hands-on engineering projects in collaborative product teams from discovery through delivery and operations
- Strong technical judgment and problem-solving ability, including weighing design options, explaining tradeoffs, and managing technical risks
- Experience improving engineering practices and helping colleagues put them into practice
- Sound judgment with AI-assisted development tools, including validating outputs and knowing when human input is needed
- Experience using data to evaluate technical decisions and improvements, or strong analytical judgment and commitment to building these skills
- Clear communicator and collaborative teammate who can work independently within agreed priorities
- Takes responsibility for individual contributions and team results
- Substantial experience developing and operating production applications across the stack
- Working knowledge of technologies used in web, backend, and mobile applications
- Experience with Angular, .NET, GraphQL, React Native, Expo, AWS, MongoDB, and PostgreSQL is preferred
