Senior Java Backend Developer — Remote, Dominican Republic
Build data platforms for a global insights and strategy firm as a senior Java backend developer. Develop scalable services, AI and LLM solutions, and data visualization features.
Aprašymas
- Design and support products and features, from initial development through ongoing improvements.
- Apply and assess AI and LLM solutions to address business needs and improve processes.
- Work with engineering colleagues on system architecture and complex technical problems.
- Follow software development lifecycle and documentation practices.
- Produce sound designs, run unit tests, automate testing where suitable, and review code.
- Work across teams to understand initiatives, analyze needs, and recommend solutions.
- Meet standards for performance, reliability, quality, security, and testability.
- Build systems designed for high traffic and availability.
- Adopt new technologies to improve existing applications.
- Create scalable data visualization solutions.
Reikalavimai
- At least 5 years of Java experience.
- At least 1 year each of JavaScript and React experience.
- At least 3 years of SQL experience, ideally with PostgreSQL or Redshift.
- Knowledge of algorithms, data structures, object-oriented programming, and performance optimization.
- Experience designing and developing RESTful backend services.
- Experience writing and maintaining automated unit tests.
- Experience with product experimentation, A/B testing, and business metrics or KPIs.
- Experience working with cross-functional product teams.
- Spring Boot experience is a plus.
- Experience with Python, C#, Go, or C++ is a plus. (C# was listed twice in the source.)
- Experience with AWS services such as EC2, S3, Lambda, RDS, or Redshift is a plus.
- Docker and Kubernetes experience is a plus.
- Experience with machine learning, deep learning, NLP, data preprocessing, and tokenization is a plus.
