Senior Java Backend Developer, Global Insights
Build data platforms for a global insights and strategy firm as a senior Java backend developer. Develop scalable services, AI and LLM solutions, and data visualization features.
Aprašymas
- Champion the organization’s vision and priorities
- Design, build, improve, and support products and features
- Apply and assess AI and LLM solutions to address business needs and streamline processes
- Work with engineers on system architecture and challenging technical problems
- Adhere to software development lifecycle and documentation practices
- Produce sound designs, write unit tests, automate where useful, and review code
- Partner across the organization to assess initiatives and recommend solutions
- Maintain standards for performance, reliability, quality, security, and testability
- Develop systems designed for high traffic and availability
- Adopt new technologies to improve applications
- Build data visualization solutions that scale
- Work with the development team to create, transform, and serve industry data through a platform
Reikalavimai
- At least 5 years of Java experience
- At least 1 year of experience each with JavaScript and React
- At least 3 years of SQL experience, preferably with PostgreSQL or Redshift
- Knowledge of algorithms, data structures, object-oriented programming, and performance optimization
- Experience designing and building RESTful backend services
- Experience writing and maintaining automated unit tests
- Experience with product experiments, A/B testing, and business metrics or KPIs
- Experience working with cross-functional product teams
- Experience with Spring Boot
- Experience with at least one of Python, C#, Go, C++, or C
- Experience with AWS services such as EC2, S3, Lambda, RDS, or Redshift
- Experience with Docker and Kubernetes
- Experience with AI/ML, LLMs, machine learning, deep learning, NLP, and data preprocessing such as tokenization
- Experience developing data visualization features
- Reliable internet access and a laptop
- Availability to work full-time in Americas time zones when based outside the Americas
