  • Lead the Platform Team and oversee Microsoft framework development and maintenance in a regulated environment.
  • Build and manage a team for in-house software development, platform engineering, and AI-enabled capabilities.
  • Evaluate enterprise platform components and create a phased roadmap for a modern digital platform.
  • Advance API gateways, workflow orchestration, capability services, integrations, event-driven architecture, data persistence, and data warehouse connectivity.
  • Evaluate and integrate AI and machine learning to automate platform capabilities.
  • Guide adoption of emerging technologies and development methods to improve platform performance, scalability, and security.
  • Oversee systems and application delivery, software design and architecture, and software development.
  • Plan and deliver Enterprise Platform Solutions.
  • Set shared delivery standards and track development practices for ongoing improvement.
  • Direct the technical design and implementation of software solutions.
  • Contribute across all phases of the System Development Life Cycle (SDLC).
  • Work with engineering teams to create reusable, scalable, and secure solutions for UBC and its clients.
  • Define standards and readiness checkpoints for concept, proof of concept, pilot, and production stages.
  • Develop and refine workflows for CI/CD, unit testing, deployment, release management, documentation, and operational support.
  • Promote responsible use of AI-assisted development.
  • Partner with Information Security on code quality, dependencies, library risks, data handling, and secure deployment.
  • Manage risks, escalations, and resource allocation across Agile delivery pipelines.
  • Contribute as a key member of the IT Enterprise Architecture Center of Excellence.
  • Manage resources on the IT Platform Development team.
  • Supervise Software Development Managers, Software Architects, and Software Development Engineers.

Reikalavimai

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • At least 10 years of hands-on software engineering and solution design experience in a technical environment.
  • At least 5 years of people leadership experience.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to carry work through to successful completion.
  • Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Flexibility to work varying hours.
  • In-depth knowledge and hands-on experience across all phases of the SDLC.
  • In-depth knowledge of software validation in an FDA-regulated environment.
  • Knowledge of 21 CFR Part 11, HIPAA, and E2B requirements.
  • Strong application documentation skills.
  • Solid understanding of Agile software development principles.
  • Structured programming skills.
  • Extensive experience with the Microsoft .NET stack, including Visual Studio, TFS/Azure DevOps, C#, ASP.NET, WebForms, MVC, Angular, Node.js, and web services/API development.
  • Extensive experience with relational database management systems, particularly Microsoft SQL Server or Oracle.
  • Working knowledge of team development software and automated testing tools.
