Subsense Inc. is a neurotechnology company developing a nanoparticle-based brain–computer interface (BCI) designed to read and write neural signals without surgery. Its platform pairs biocompatible nanoparticles, delivered intranasally and directed toward specific brain regions, with a wearable headset that communicates wirelessly with them. The company is pursuing controlled clinical and research applications for neurological disorders, including Parkinson’s disease and drug-resistant epilepsy. Subsense has opened a lab in the Palo Alto and Mountain View area and begun early engagement with the FDA. Its products have not been authorized or cleared by the FDA.
