- Scale and optimize the core Teleport product for global routing performance.
- Refactor core product components to support Teleport’s cloud offering.
- Develop monitoring and observability systems that identify production issues while reducing false positives.
- Automate recurring operational work and reduce high-effort manual tasks.
- Manage patching, scaling, backup and restoration, and disaster recovery operations.
- Diagnose customer outages and production incidents.
- Join the on-call rotation supporting continuous system availability.
- Complete a practical Go coding challenge with Teleport engineers during the hiring process.

- At least eight years of progressive experience in software engineering, SRE, or DevOps roles.
- Advanced experience with Linux systems, networking, containers, and troubleshooting.
- Strong Go development skills and hands-on experience developing for production Kubernetes environments.
- Demonstrated technical leadership experience.
- Experience creating scripts and automation, contributing patches to product codebases, or developing operational tooling that uses AI agents.
- AWS experience is preferred; GCP experience is also acceptable.
- Experience with observability tools including Prometheus, Grafana, and Loki.
- Experience operating and supporting observability platforms.
- Experience in security-critical environments where correctness and system invariants guide technical decisions.
- Willingness to complete a Go coding challenge during the interview process.
- Curiosity and the motivation to learn new technologies.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Availability to attend onboarding week in person at the Oakland, California office.
- Ability to complete required background checks.
