Senior VAT Analyst – Wroclaw Hybrid

Lead VAT compliance engagements for EY’s global professional services network, from planning through completion. Review amended returns, develop tax strategies, and support the growth of tax teams through supervision and mentoring.

  • Plan and deliver client engagements from initiation through completion
  • Oversee the financial management of engagements
  • Apply state and local tax statutes, regulations, and legislation accurately
  • Address tax issues and propose improvements to business processes
  • Serve as the primary contact for engagement matters involving the Central team or local EY representatives
  • Examine amended returns and supporting workpapers
  • Support responses to tax audits
  • Investigate federal, state, and local tax matters and develop appropriate strategies
  • Build an informed understanding of client operations, processes, and business activities
  • Plan and facilitate user conference calls to coordinate compliance work
  • Promote the use of new technology, tools, and quality initiatives
  • Follow Ernst & Young compliance requirements
  • Supervise, train, and mentor staff and interns
  • Evaluate performance, identify development needs, and coordinate training
  • Help counselees build technical and broader professional capabilities

Талаптар

  • A graduate or postgraduate qualification, preferably in Commerce
  • Four to ten years of professional experience in state compliance, amended state compliance, accounts payable or receivable, or VAT
  • Strong project management, analytical, interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office
  • Thorough knowledge of tax applications such as Corp Tax, OneSource, and GoSystem
  • Broad exposure to federal and state income taxation, with knowledge of applicable tax regulations
  • Experience in accounts payable or receivable
  • Hands-on experience with indirect tax, VAT, or property tax is helpful
  • Technical and analytical expertise with Power BI and Alteryx is appreciated
  • Advanced knowledge and experience in local-country indirect tax compliance
  • Knowledge of global indirect tax compliance and related processes
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects and provide exceptional client and project management
