Lead C/C++ software development for enterprise storage systems at Hewlett Packard Enterprise. The role covers distributed systems, clustered-environment debugging, technical leadership, and mentoring.

- Design, develop, troubleshoot, and debug software enhancements and new products
- Build software spanning operating systems, compilers, networking, utilities, databases, and Internet technologies
- Assess hardware compatibility and contribute to hardware design decisions
- Lead internal and outsourced engineering teams through solution design, coding, testing, and integration
- Build and strengthen relationships with internal and external development partners
- Evaluate designs and project work against software systems development standards and guidelines
- Recommend improvements that raise product quality and reduce failure risk
- Provide domain expertise and software leadership across cross-functional projects and programs
- Introduce innovative technologies into software systems design
- Mentor and support less-experienced engineers

- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science, information systems, or an equivalent field
- At least 8 years of software development experience
- Strong C/C++ systems programming experience with enterprise-class software
- Proficiency in data structures, algorithms, and multithreaded programming
- Experience debugging multithreaded and clustered environments
- In-depth understanding of operating system internals
- Experience with one or more of high-performance storage data paths, distributed file systems, storage systems, high-availability clusters, memory management, performance tuning, or performance modeling
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities
- Experience defining software architectures for products and solutions
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Mastery of English and the local language
- Ability to present product architectures, explain design proposals, and negotiate options with senior management
