Senior Real-Time Software Engineer
Build Legion, Swarm Aero’s real-time command-and-control platform for autonomous aircraft swarms. Develop full-stack interfaces and distributed systems for mission-critical operations.

- Build the full-stack command-and-control system that directs large, varied aircraft swarms.
- Establish core systems, technical patterns, and interfaces as Legion grows.
- Develop collaborative real-time infrastructure for controlling aircraft over degraded or intermittent connections.
- Create ways to view and work with vehicle telemetry, sensor data, mission schedules, crew resources, data links, and other operational information.
- Turn ambiguous operational challenges into deployed capabilities, starting from first principles.
- Lead major features from system design and architecture through implementation, testing, and deployment.
- Work with operators, designers, and engineers across software, autonomy, and aircraft systems.
- Deliver early iterations and improve them quickly using CI/CD, QA, and DevSecOps practices.

- A degree in computer science or equivalent experience.
- At least four years building complex full-stack applications, with substantial frontend and backend experience.
- Strong instincts for user interface and user experience, supported by practical skills.
- Experience building production web interfaces with React or a comparable modern framework.
- Experience with both immediate-mode interfaces, such as games or simulations, and retained-mode UI paradigms.
- A record of developing performance-sensitive applications.
- Familiarity with video streaming protocols.
- Experience with WebGL or OpenGL.
- Experience with geospatial applications.
- Eligibility to obtain and maintain a U.S. Secret security clearance; an active Secret clearance is preferred but not required.
- Must satisfy U.S. ITAR eligibility requirements as a U.S. citizen, lawful permanent resident, protected individual, or someone eligible to obtain required authorizations.
- Must be legally authorized to work in the United States.
