  • Manage Oracle databases on AWS RDS, including multitenant CDB/PDB setups, parameter and option groups, snapshots, automated backups, and point-in-time recovery.
  • Maintain on-premises Oracle environments through installation, patching, upgrades, and RMAN backup and recovery.
  • Coordinate Oracle upgrades and patches across cloud and on-premises environments while limiting production disruption.
  • Track database performance and capacity with CloudWatch, Performance Insights, Enhanced Monitoring, AWR, and ASH.
  • Roll out schema and data updates to production as part of coordinated software releases.
  • Use established change management and configuration control procedures.
  • Administer Linux and Windows systems supporting database servers, tools, and integrations.
  • Manage database security controls, including Unified Auditing, encryption, role-based access, and accounts.
  • Support RMF assessment and authorization by preparing control evidence, running assessor queries, contributing to SSP documentation, and tracking POA&M remediation.
  • Implement and verify DISA STIG and SRG requirements, and assist with vulnerability scans and continuous monitoring reports.
  • Use complex SQL to investigate, report on, and correct application data.
  • Review and troubleshoot PL/SQL code, identifying defects and performance problems.
  • Create and run anonymous PL/SQL scripts, then validate their results.
  • Prepare and maintain runbooks, standard operating procedures, and technical documentation.
  • Help customers and internal teams resolve issues, share status updates, and identify improvements to performance, reliability, and automation.

Талаптар

  • At least seven years of experience as an Oracle Database Administrator.
  • CompTIA Security+ or another DoD 8140-approved certification at IAT Level II or above.
  • Practical experience with on-premises and cloud-hosted Oracle databases; AWS RDS experience is strongly preferred.
  • Strong SQL and PL/SQL skills, including the ability to read, debug, and tune existing code.
  • Working knowledge of Linux system administration and familiarity with Windows Server administration.
  • Experience with Oracle backup and recovery, patching, and upgrades.
  • Experience in a regulated setting, including audit support or compliance reporting.
  • Proficiency with SQL*Plus, SQL Developer, and Toad for Oracle.
  • Bachelor's degree in business management, engineering, computer science, mathematics, economics, or a related field.
  • Equivalent technical training or work or military experience may substitute for education with at least eleven years of experience.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a Secret clearance; an active Secret clearance is preferred.
  • U.S. citizenship is required.
  • Ability to sit, type, hear, see, and speak for extended periods.
  • Ability to work and type at a computer for prolonged periods.
  • Ability to communicate information and ideas clearly and accurately.
  • Ability to lift and carry at least 15 pounds.
  • Availability for occasional after-hours and weekend work.
  • Preferred experience or knowledge includes AWS GovCloud and core AWS services, Oracle multitenant architecture, Unified Auditing, DoD financial management, PPBE, government accounting systems, Bash, PowerShell, Python, Terraform, CloudFormation, RMF artifacts and tools, OCP, AWS Certified Database, or AWS Solutions Architect.
