Advise CARFAX business teams on commercial contracts and related legal matters. Support agreements involving data, technology, privacy, and customer relationships.

- Advise business teams on commercial contracts and related legal matters
- Draft, review, and negotiate data, customer, strategic, subscription, online terms, and non-disclosure agreements
- Assess and update contract templates to align with applicable laws, regulations, and industry best practices
- Monitor and evaluate privacy laws, regulations, data protection policies, and related practices
- Contribute to special legal projects as required
- Report to the Vice President, Deputy General Counsel
Талаптар
- Bachelor of Laws, Juris Doctor, or an equivalent qualification from an accredited institution
- Admission to practice law in Ontario with active good-standing membership in the Law Society of Ontario
- At least seven years of hands-on contract drafting and negotiation experience in private practice, in-house, or a combination of both
- Strong knowledge of contract, corporate, intellectual property, regulatory compliance, and data privacy law relevant to data and technology businesses
- Demonstrated ability to manage a high volume of contracts effectively
- Familiarity with artificial intelligence and machine learning matters is an advantage
- Excellent verbal, written, negotiation, and presentation skills
- Strong attention to detail and organizational ability
- Capacity to learn and develop new skills quickly
- Excellent analytical reasoning, judgment, and problem-solving skills
- Ability to manage multiple clients and competing projects concurrently
- Proactive work ethic with strong follow-through
- Ability to work independently while contributing effectively to a team
