Senior iOS Engineer - Hybrid in Buenos Aires
Build and evolve native iOS banking applications serving millions of customers at Avenga. Use Swift, Objective-C, mobile architecture, testing, and AI-assisted development tools.

- Create, maintain, and integrate native iOS applications and components from defined functional and technical requirements
- Contribute across the software lifecycle, including design, implementation, testing, deployment, and support
- Partner with product managers, designers, and engineers to shape and deliver high-quality solutions
- Build engaging, responsive, and user-focused mobile experiences
- Develop prototypes and support technical discovery and solution design
- Conduct unit testing, code reviews, debugging, and ongoing quality improvements
- Improve application performance, reliability, and maintainability
- Produce and update technical documentation in line with engineering standards
- Evaluate emerging technologies and recommend enhancements to products, processes, and engineering practices
- Support production applications by resolving defects and delivering new functionality
- Participate in architecture decisions and help uphold engineering standards
- Use AI tools across development to increase productivity, quality, and delivery speed

- At least five years of professional experience developing native iOS applications
- Advanced experience with Swift and Objective-C
- Strong grasp of software architecture, design patterns, and mobile engineering practices
- Background building, maintaining, and optimizing production mobile applications
- Strong command of unit testing and software quality practices
- Experience with Git and contemporary development workflows
- Hands-on use of AI development tools such as GitHub Copilot, Claude, Cursor, or comparable solutions
- Ability to produce code through effective prompting techniques
- Ability to assess architectural decisions and maintain alignment with established design patterns
- Experience with mobile CI/CD pipelines is a plus
- Knowledge of mobile application security practices is a plus
- Experience in agile development environments is a plus
- Experience mentoring developers and advancing engineering best practices is a plus
- Interest in emerging technologies and AI-driven software development is a plus
