Senior Business Intelligence Developer, Gifthealth (Remote, Ohio)
Lead Looker, dbt, and dashboard reporting for Gifthealth’s prescription healthcare platform. Build accurate, HIPAA-compliant PHI reports and manufacturer-facing outputs.

- Lead reporting projects across pharmacy business lines and the pharmacy management system
- Maintain the LookML semantic layer, including explores, views, dimensions, and measures
- Define and document consistent business metrics, and address issues upstream in dbt
- Guide dashboard migrations by evaluating usage, metric definitions, and warehouse ownership
- Manage manufacturer-facing outputs, ensuring figures reconcile and labels are accurate
- Develop PHI reports with masking policies, role-based access, and BAA obligations built in
- Report to the Manager, BI & Reporting
- Mentor teammates and help resolve blockers
Талаптар
- A degree is optional; equivalent hands-on experience is accepted
- Typically 4–7 years building business intelligence on a production platform, including dashboards relied on by users
- Experience with Looker and LookML; Power BI, Tableau, or Domo experience is also accepted with willingness to learn Looker
- SQL proficiency, including window functions, careful joins, and join-fanout validation
- Data modeling skills, including identifying table grain, gaps, and dashboard needs
- Sound judgment in data visualization
- Ability to validate work against source data and evaluate confidence
- Ability to clarify ambiguous requests from operations leads or account managers
- Ability to mentor others
- Strong understanding of healthcare data, PHI, and HIPAA requirements
- Strong communication and data-informed decision-making skills
- Preferred: experience in healthcare, pharmacy, or regulated data, including PHI, HIPAA, and BAAs
- Preferred: dbt experience and pull-request-based model changes
- Preferred: production experience with Snowflake or another cloud warehouse, ideally including migrations
- Preferred: Git-based BI development, including version control, code review, environments, and promotion
- Preferred: experience migrating a BI platform
- Formal leadership or management experience is not required
