Senior Accounting Analyst – Accounting Consulting | Rumo Brasil
Senior Accounting Analyst responsible for asset reviews, compliance work, and IFRS analysis for Rumo Brasil’s transportation clients. Produces technical opinions, recommendations, and accounting consulting deliverables.

- Lead Fixed Asset Review and Monthly Accounting Compliance projects within the Accounting Consulting practice
- Review client asset registers and reconcile them with records held by authorities such as Senatran
- Calculate and separate tax and statutory depreciation under IFRS standards and CPC pronouncements
- Detect inaccurate accounting entries and recommend corrective actions
- Prepare final reports, technical opinions, and implementation plans
- Review trial balances, balance sheets, and income statements
- Investigate variances and inconsistencies while identifying improvement opportunities
- Monitor ancillary accounting obligations, particularly ECD and ECF, along with closing timelines
- Coordinate with clients and external accounting firms to collect, validate, and clarify information
- Assist with system implementations covering charts of accounts and fixed asset controls
- Present findings, analyses, and recommendations to clients
- Provide support to other Business Consulting teams
- Maintain project timelines and the quality of deliverables

- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting
- Practical experience with statutory accounting, financial close activities, account analysis, and reconciliations
- Strong command of IFRS and CPC pronouncements, especially CPC 27 and CPC 01
- Ability to interpret trial balances, balance sheets, and income statements
- Working knowledge of tax and statutory depreciation and fixed asset administration
- Familiarity with ancillary accounting obligations, particularly ECD and ECF
- Intermediate to advanced proficiency in Excel
- Consistently rigorous approach with close attention to detail
- Analytical thinking and sound critical judgment
- Strong organizational skills and reliability in meeting deadlines and schedules
- Ability to communicate results clearly in presentations
- Self-directed and proactive working style
- Background in transportation or logistics, especially fleet operations and fixed assets
- Experience in consulting, audit, or an accounting firm
- Experience assessing useful lives, drafting fixed asset technical opinions, or implementing accounting and asset management systems
- Postgraduate qualification or specialization in Accounting, Controllership, or IFRS
- Experience collaborating with diverse stakeholder groups
