  • Complete same-day repairs on lighter heavy-duty vehicles
  • Service brakes, wheel seals and bearings, air leaks and airbags, A/C and electrical systems, and tires
  • Carry out forced regens along with DOT and trailer inspections
  • Perform repairs in the shop and at customer locations with the company service truck
  • Manage the service bay and achieve billed book-time targets
  • Operate the company service truck for customer-site service calls
  • Finalize work orders and inspection documentation
  • Communicate clearly with customers and management

  • Hold a valid driver's license
  • Bring at least two years of hands-on mechanical technician experience in diesel, heavy-duty, or automotive work
  • Have hands-on experience with diesel systems or semi-trucks
  • Understand air brakes, wheel seals and bearings, and correct torque procedures
  • Understand A/C systems, electrical systems, tires, preventive maintenance, and diagnostic equipment
  • Be capable of conducting inspections according to FMCSA standards
  • Hold Texas Commercial Inspector Certification or be able to obtain it
  • Know OSHA safety standards
  • Use basic computer tools to complete work orders
  • Be self-motivated and communicate effectively with customers and management
  • Lift 50 pounds without assistance and stand, bend, or kneel for extended periods
  • Be available to work varied shift schedules
  • Have experience repairing semi-trucks and trailers
  • Hold ASE certification
  • Have experience with forced regens, heavy-duty disc brakes, and airbag suspension
  • Bring mobile or on-site fleet repair experience
  • Have experience completing DOT inspection paperwork
