Provide same-day repairs for heavy-duty vehicles from LubeZone’s Odessa shop and mobile service truck. Work across braking, electrical, tire, inspection, air-conditioning, and diesel systems.

  • Complete same-day repairs on lighter-duty heavy-duty vehicles
  • Handle repairs in the shop and at customer locations with a company service truck
  • Service brakes, wheel seals and bearings, air leaks and airbags, air-conditioning and electrical systems, and tires
  • Carry out forced regeneration procedures
  • Perform DOT and trailer inspections
  • Complete repairs without engine teardown or bodywork
  • Operate the company service truck for customer-site visits
  • Complete fully paid training at the Sweetwater shop when transitioning from automotive work with some diesel experience

  • Hold a valid driver’s license
  • Bring at least two years of hands-on mechanical technician experience in diesel, heavy-duty, or automotive work
  • Have some practical experience with diesel systems or semi-trucks
  • Understand air brakes, wheel seals and bearings, and correct torque procedures
  • Understand air-conditioning systems, electrical systems, tires, preventive maintenance services, and diagnostic equipment
  • Be able to complete inspections according to FMCSA standards
  • Hold Texas Commercial Inspector Certification or be able to obtain it
  • Know OSHA safety requirements
  • Use basic computer systems to complete work orders
  • Communicate clearly with customers and management
  • Lift 50 pounds without assistance and stand, bend, or kneel for extended periods
  • Be available for varied shift schedules
  • Semi-truck and trailer repair experience is preferred
  • ASE certification is preferred
  • Experience with forced regens, heavy-duty disc brakes, and airbag suspension is preferred
  • Mobile or on-site fleet repair experience is preferred
  • Experience completing DOT inspection paperwork is preferred
